“I founded Create and Connect Counselling in 2020 to help make mental health support more accessible for children and young people. I offer counselling and play-based therapy in primary schools and one-to-one sessions after school in West Street, Fareham for ages 4-17 years.”

Children and young people sometimes struggle to express big emotions, manage anxiety or feel confident in themselves. As a children’s counsellor, I provide one-to-one support in a safe, creative space when they can explore their feelings and build emotional resilience.

Through play, creative techniques and talking therapy, I help children feel heard, understood and empowered whether they are struggling with anxiety, friendships or challenges at school.

There are two ways for you to work with me:

If you are a school representative looking for professional mental health provision in your school please drop me an email: [email protected] and I will be in contact as soon as possible.

If you are a parent seeking mental health support for your child outside of school, I provide sessions in the evenings at The West Street Counselling Practice in Fareham. Please drop me an email or contact me for your free 15 minute phone consultation 07815 774231.

I work with clients in Fareham, Portsmouth and Southampton and the surrounding areas.

"I can't believe what a difference six sessions of counselling can make when you are feeling stuck in a situation. Thank you." Young person age 15.
"Amanda's support for our school has been invaluable. She has supported children with a wide range of needs and has shown flexibility and creativity in finding ways to engage them and establish relationships. We have seen real impact from the sessions in children's confidence in speaking up and knowing that their voice is important. Amanda has given children a safe space to explore their feelings and communicate them in a positive and empowering way." Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion
